Tell us how/why you first became a canal buff
Dad pointed out the ole canal channel to me west of Logansport through Fitches Glen sometime during 1945. The scene has not changed much since that day.
Tell us about some of your favorite canal sites you've visited
Although they are disappearing as time goes on, there are several that can be seen today. Aboite River Aqueduct abutments and foundation timbers or the Eel River Aqueduct abutment and piers are still visible. Stone locks of Wabash County; stone culverts in Huntingtion, Miami, Cass and Carroll county are worth a look.
Tell us about any research you've done or materials you've collected
Several resources and pretty workable...for an amature.
